The Science of Art Magazine: Frantz & The Search of Lightness is a pseudo-magazine that adopts the visual language and format of early twentieth-century publications devoted to inventions, science and flight. Through fictional interviews, encounters and lectures with thinkers such as Milan Kundera, Italo Calvino and Carlo Ginzburg, the book explores the ambiguous notion of lightness — both as physical weightlessness and as a condition of thought. Fabricated photographs and documents blur the boundaries between research, fiction and historical evidence, constructing an imaginary investigation into the possibility of becoming light.
